About ETHpublic

ETHpublic exists to bridge the gap between curiosity and understanding. We translate complex blockchain technology into clear, practical information for people taking their first steps into Ethereum.

Our Mission

Ethereum represents one of the most significant technological developments of our time—but for most people, it's intimidating, confusing, and filled with jargon. That's the problem we're solving.

ETHpublic cuts through the noise. We provide clear, honest, beginner-friendly information about Ethereum without the hype, speculation, or technical complexity that overwhelms newcomers.

Whether you're a curious observer, a potential user, or someone looking to understand what all the buzz is about, we're here to help you make sense of Ethereum on your own terms.

Who We Are

ETHpublic is created and maintained by Jon Aretakis, a journalist and entrepreneur based in San Diego, California.

With over 100 published articles in major publications including The San Diego Union-Tribune, North County Times, and Coast News, Jon brings a journalist's commitment to accuracy and clarity to the world of blockchain technology.

After years of researching and working within the Ethereum ecosystem—particularly in the ENS (Ethereum Name Service) domain space—Jon recognized that quality educational resources for complete beginners were scarce. ETHpublic is the resource he wished existed when he started learning about Ethereum.

What Makes Us Different

No Hype, Just Facts

We're not here to convince you to invest, get rich quick, or jump on the latest trend. We explain what Ethereum is, how it works, and what you can do with it—then you decide if it's right for you.

Beginner-First Approach

Every page is written assuming you know nothing about blockchain, cryptocurrency, or Ethereum. We use plain English, real-world analogies, and avoid unnecessary jargon.

Safety & Security Priority

We emphasize security and scam awareness from day one. Too many newcomers lose money to preventable mistakes. Our guides help you avoid the common pitfalls.

Real-Time Network Data

Our live dashboard shows you actual Ethereum network activity—not outdated stats or marketing numbers. See for yourself that Ethereum is real, active, and growing.

Our Values

  • Clarity Over Complexity: If we can't explain it simply, we don't publish it.
  • Honesty Over Hype: We acknowledge Ethereum's limitations alongside its strengths.
  • Safety Over Speed: We encourage careful, informed decisions—not FOMO-driven mistakes.
  • Education Over Sales: Our goal is to inform, not to sell you products or services.
  • Accessibility Over Elitism: Ethereum should be understandable to everyone, not just tech experts.
